In 1966 Joseph came to the United States. He went to school to learn English, and then moved on to High School. Joseph started working at the age of 16, in 1971,with a New Haven Jeweler sweeping floors and cleaning. He then began as an apprentice working on simple repairs of gold jewelery, setting stones, and of course the best job of polishing jewelry to make it look finished.

In 1973, at the age of 18, Joseph got married and started a family. In 1978 Joseph started his own business by buying used equipment, and then began going to other jewelers to give him repair work such as diamond setting, repairs, and custom designs, from there he grew to where he is today and has been running a very successful business for over 30 years.

Joseph Conte himself, will set your diamond, size your ring, polish your jewelry, and no other jewelry store owner has this type of knowledge.
